SUBJECT :Tender for Local Purchase of Medicines & Surgical Items from open market.
Sealed quotations are hereby invited from local Chemists /Firms situated within a radius of 8 kms of this Hospital, for local purchase of medicines, surgical items, disposables, devices, implants etc for a period of one year for use in Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya ( C.N.B.C), Geeta Colony, Delhi-31.The contract can be extended for another year on mutual consent and satisfactory performance.
Sealed tender in prescribed form duly filled in must be submitted in the prescribed tender box placed in the caretaking branch of this hospital, latest by 17.03.08 at 1.00 P.M. along with the earnest money deposit of Rs. 25,000/ (twenty five thousand only) in the form of a fixed deposit receipt(F.D.R.),in original, in favour of Dean, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi 11002 valid for 18 months.
1. The tender must be submitted in two parts (A) Pre qualification bid (B) price bid.
The two bids must be submitted in two separate sealed envelopes, clearly marked as pre qualification bid / price bid both put into one envelope.
Evaluation criteria for prequalification bid (A)

- EMD for Rs.25000/- in the form of FDR in favor of Dean MAMC valid for 18 months which will be treated as security deposit in case of successful bidder.
- Valid drug license issued by state drug controller
- Undertaking as per annexure 1 and 2.
- None conviction certificate from state drug controller.
- Performance certificate
Evaluation criteria for price bid (B)
The maximum discount offered should be submitted in separate envelope marked as Price Bid as per annexure -4.
The pre qualification bid will be opened on 17-03-08 at 2.30 PM in the caretaking branch by a tender opening committee constituted for this purpose in the presence of tenderers or their authorized representatives who are present.
3. Tender not confirming to the essential requirement, as per check list (annexure-3)will be rejected and no correspondence thereof shall be entertained whatsoever.
4. Price bid of only those tenderers shall be opened who are found qualified at the pre qualification stage. Time & Date for opening of Price Bid shall be fixed and intimated to the qualifying tenderers in Pre- qualification bid.
5. The tender form should be clearly filled in ink legibly or typed. Correcting fluid should not be used in any case. Alterations unless legibly attested by the Tenderer, shall disqualify the tender. The tender form should be signed by the Tenderer himself.
6. Every paper of the tender should be numbered & signed by the tenderer with seal of agency/firm.
7. The items will be supplied to the hospital on the price, which is not more than the maximum retail price.
8. The maximum discount which is likely to be offered by the firms, will be on maximum retail price.
9 The firm will have to give an undertaking that the supply will be made immediately on the receipt of the order at hospital premises without any extra charge.
10 Duration of contract shall be one year extendable to one more year on mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance.
11. The firm /chemist shop should be able to receive orders & supply items round the clock on all days including Sundays and gazetted holidays.
12. The firm has to supply the same brand of the drug as prescribed. The items shall be of good quality.
13 The Medical Superintendent will evaluate the performance of the firm and have the right to discontinue the contract of the firm at anytime on violation of terms and conditions of the tender of unsatisfactory services.
14. In case of emergencies the order will be given telephonically by the competent authorities.
15. Director CNBC reserves the right to reject any tender without assigning any reason.
